     The Conference Organizing Committee invites you to participate at the International Conference “Electrical contacts and electrodes” (EC-2009). This conference will be held at the picturesque nook of the south coast of Crimea in Katciveli settlement on September 21 - 27, 2009.
     Participants will be given a comfortable lodging, good nutrition and friendly service. Well-equipped park, sport grounds, water park facilities and beaches will be at your service. You could also travel and see the sights of Crimea.      Arrival and accomodation of the Conference participants in pansion "Katciveli" will take place on September 21, 2009 and their departure on September 27, 2009.

     TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE

     1. Switching contacts (electrodes). Physical and chemical nature of phenomena accompanying discharge between them in different working media. Scientific justification of principles of choise of content, properties, technologies of contacts (electrodes) intended for working in different conditions.
     2. Electrical contacts in heterostructures: physical and chemical nature of phenomena, non-ohmic processes, production technology.      3. Mass transfer in an interelectrode spacing. Features of structural, physical and chemical conversion into near-surface layers under effect of a pulse plasma flow. Their connection with initial properties of materials and technologies of manufacturing.
     4. Simulation of heat distribution in composite material under influence of arc discharge as a way of justification of initial structure dispersivity of composite materials for contacts and engineering of contact-detales material.
     5. The new technological techniques and the role of nonequilibrium condition, of secondary structure in the contact (electrode) working layer under formation of their functional properties.
     6. Sliding electrical contacts. Composite materials for them. Production processes. Tests methods.
     7. Stand tests of electrical contacts. Areas of their effective application.
     8. Materials for working tools of electrical manufacturing equipment (contact welding machines, profiling machines, electrospark coating equipment)
     9. Role of soldering (soldering - welding) processes in formation of contact joints. Methods of a nondestructive examination.
     10. Correlation researches of properties of initial materials and functional properties of electrical contacts. Selection of the control parameters of contacts and their certification.
     11. Problems of secondary raw materials usage while producing materials for electrical engineering. Methods of processing and control of powder and materials.

     REGISTRATION FEE is 100$ and can be paid on arrival.

     RULES OF THE ABSTRACTS EXECUTION

     To form the Conference program we ask you to present the abstracts to Organizing committee by E-mail: 29min@ipms.kiev.ua. The abstracts should be printed in English (Russian) at 1.5 line spacing on the paper of A4 format with margin 2.0 sm from each side of page, using MS Word format, Times New Roman font with 10 pt size. The abstracts couldn't exceed one page
