The main objectives of the program

The scientific basis for the creation of materials and systems for hydrogen storage, especially on board vehicles, which would provide mileage to 500 km and for stationary and standalone applications.

Expected results:

-The effect is chemical, crystal structure, morphology and surface condition in sorption capacity relative to hydrogen porous coordination polymers, new metal hydride alloys based on light and rare earth metals, carbon nanostructured materials etc.
-will be obtained fundamental results on the effects of modifying the electrode, particularly transition metal oxides, the cathode and anode in the electrolysis process water;
- new results will be obtained on reaction of hydrogen interaction with these objects at different temperatures and pressures by kinetic parameters of these processes;
-find out the laws of the formation of hydride phases during mechanical synthesis reaction among hydrogen offered new nanostructured composites based on magnesium and nanoporous metal-organic frameworks for hydrogen storage;
-obtained fundamental results will create and propose practical use of innovative materials with high hydrogen capacity of 5.5 wt.% or more, both for road transport and storage of hydrogen in combination with stationary, portable and standalone applications.
