STRATEGIC PLAN OF ACTIVITY OF TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR STANDARDIZATION "Powder metallurgy" (TC 54)

Current Work

In 2020, the main task of TC 54 is to organize the interaction and coordination of its collective members involved in the harmonization of international standards as a national, development of national standards in the direction of TC activity. The TC54 meetings will be held in order to consider the results of the phased work on development of normative documents and to resolve the issue of the expediency of development of relevant normative documents at least twice a year.

Required Resources

Resource and administrative works on the development of national standards of Ukraine (DSTU) will be ensured at the expense of their main developers - collective members of TC 54 and funds of the State Budget of Ukraine and stakeholders Sides.

Financing of technical editing of standards will be carried out at the expense of stakeholders' funds.

Promising activities

To date, the TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ISO/TC 119 plans to review and develop of the following documents:

1. ISO/AWI 2740 sintered metal materials, excluding hardmetals — Tensile test pieces

2. ISO/WD TR 4499-5 Hardmetals — Metallographic determination of microstructure — Part 5: Characterisation and measurement of miscellaneous microstructural features

3. ISO/AWI TR 23867 Ultrasonic testing of hardmetals

4. ISO/DIS 28080 Hardmetals — Abrasion tests for hardmetals

Publication of the aforementioned ISO standards is expected in 2021-2023, then they will need harmonization as national standards of Ukraine
