Abstract

The structure evolution of the amorphous ribbon Co67,3Fe10,1Si16,2B6,4 after annealing is studied by transmission electron microscopy, automatic indentation and high differential thermal analysis methods. The amorphous alloy crystallization is found to occur in three stages. It is noted that the maximum hardness typical for amorphous-nanocrystalline state, which corresponds to the first stage of crystallization, and the values of H / E * approach to the "theoretical hardness."
