Abstract

Sodium borosilicate glass (% (wt.) 49,10SiO2—28,14Na2O—22,76В2О3) was prepared by melting of glass-forming components at 1100 ºC. DTGA of glass charge confirmed the occurrence of complex physical and chemical processes related silicate and glass formation, and showed no phase processes during re-heat treatment of the prepared glass. Obtained results agree with XRD and IR spectroscopy data. Glass viscosity curve, temperature dependence of surface tension, heat capacity, electrical resistivity were plotted based on the additivity formulas. Moreover, it was calculated the following physical and mechanical properties of prepared glass: density, specific heat at low temperature, thermal conductivity, thermal expansion coefficient, elastic modulus, compressive strength, tensile strength, refractive index.
