Abstract

The features of abrasive wear of reinforced Cr13M2–Cr3C2 steels against a diamond wheel have been studied. The optimum composition of the reinforced chromium steels for the strengthening of feed mill hammers has been selected and tests have been performed in production conditions. It is established that the use of reinforced Cr13M2–Cr3C2 steels to strengthen the feed mill hammers is the most effective technique for restoring their initial dimensions and performance.
