Abstract

By the calorimetry method and the model of ideal associated solutions were used to determine the thermodynamic properties of melts of the In—Tb (Er, Lu) system for temperatures 1625, 1518 (1598) and 1653 K, respectively, in the range of compositions 0,7 ≤ xln ≤ 1,0. It was established that the minimum value of the enthalpy of mixing is −43,0 ± 0,3 kJ / mol under the condition xIn = 0,5, and the activities of the components show very large negative deviations from ideal solutions.
