Abstract

The influence of the magnetic field on internal stresses in NiAl–Re detonation coatings is experimentally confirmed. It is shown that the magnetic field essentially changes the nature and distribution of internal stresses. These changes are attributed to the action of residual stresses in the “substrate–coating” system, which are induced at all stages of preparation and subsequent treatment of the material in the magnetic field.
