Abstract

Peculiarities of obtaining nanostructured silicon carbide particles by pyrolysis and carbonization of hydrogen peroxide pre-treated bamboo chips impregnated with silica have been studied. The interaction between the product of pyrolysis and silica was established with the formation of silicon oxide carbide (SiOC), which is transformed to silicon carbide nanoparticles at about1400—1500°C.
