Abstract

The possibility of manufacturing ball-, cylinder-, and quill cylinder-shaped products based on the Si3N4 and TiN nanocomposites by spark plasma sintering (SPS) is demonstrated. The features of product properties associated with specifics of SPS consolidation of composites with different conductivity. Mechanical properties of materials in form of sphere and quill cylinder measured: HV ~11,5 GPa, K1c ~4,1 МPа • m1/2 (for Si3N4); and HV ~ 12,7 GPa, K1c ~4,8 МPа • m1/2 (for Si3N4–TiN).
