Abstract

The new class of wear proof materials — carbide steels has been considered. The every basic way of their obtaining, which exists to the date, was analyzed. The emphasis placed on the types of the materials in question appearing the last years. The features of structure formation and the processes occurring at the liquid-phase sintering are described The prospects of the carbide steels further development were drawn up.
