Abstract

To determine the coefficient of friction at the symmetric rolling using various methods (more than 20), of which only a few can be applied to asymmetric rolling (method of timing and method of determining the chart radial pressure on the roll). The models of the rolling friction and hypotheses about the nature of friction between the surface of contact of the rolls and the rolled strip. To the parameters that determine the coefficient of friction in rolling are the chemical composition of the material and condition of the rollers, shafts and surface roughness of the metal temperature. When rolling compact materials emit friction capture logging and the steady process. The latter, as a rule, almost 2 times less than the first, because of the point of application of the resultant reaction rolled blanks on the deformation effect of the roll. The coefficient of friction determines the size of the deformation zone and angular parameters of the rolling process, namely, the angle of capture and the neutral corner. Regulation of the coefficient of friction when rolling power parameters to optimize the process.
