Abstract

Additive manufacturing has become a new, rapidly growing industrial sector with the ability to cost-effectively produce products of complex shapes that are inaccessible to other technologies. The article deals with existing varieties of additive manufacturing technology using a metal powder, its advantages, limitations and prospects, as well as samples of parts, production of which is possible only by this technology. It is shown the examples of manufacturing method of AP products for the aerospace, automotive, medical and other areas.
