Abstract

It was shown that different values of the yield strength of tantalum, depending on the Schmidt factor and the type of loading, can be connected with the process of dissociation of dislocations and the absence of the mirror symmetry of the crystal lattice. The use of a modified theory of thermally activated dislocation jumps taking in to accound their dissociation makes it possible to describe this effect. Full text download
