Abstract

By the method of an automatic indentation (Р≤3 N) influence of cumulative presence of porosity and particles of the second phase in various ratio on mechanical properties of new ceramic materials - porous two-phase titanium nanolaminate-composites Ti3SiC2/TiC, Ti3AlC2/TiC, Ti4AlN3/TiN at room temperature (θ=3-35%), content TiC (TiN) - 5-70 %) was investigated. Materials are made by a method of reactionary sintering. In porous nanolaminates - composites at the contents of a titanium carbide TiC (TiN) <20 % the increase in porosity results in decrease in strength and increase of plasticity. Appreciable increase of strength of porous composites is marked at contents TiC (TiN)> 25-30 %. On increase in mechanical properties and resistance to deformation they settle down in the following sequence: Ti3AlC2/TiC - Ti4AlN3/TiN - Ti3SiC2/TiC.
