Abstract

The nomenclature of the Russian reed switches and items based thereof is represented here. The trends of the reed switch development and new design parameters are shown. An opportunity of the reed switch production for home appliances by means of the contacting surface treatment with pulsed discharges created by a special generator, instead of using expensive materials for the contact plating, is being analyzed.
