Abstract

For investigating the resistance of the tightening of model samples made from materials on the basis of copper it is proposed the simple model of the contact system in the form of flat plate with the single contact neck . The dependence of the resistance of tightening on the sectional area of contact neck takes the form of exponential function. The maximum the value of the resistance of tightening attains 30% of common contact resistance of model sample, with the contact area constituting 8-12% of nominal area. In the case of the small distances between the current-conducting contact sections the resistance of tightening on each contact increases.
