Abstract

Analysis of cyclic heating of Zr—Cr alloy disk-shaped specimens by solar radiation is carried out. It is made to determine the conditions of reaching a given temperature change. The discrete model is used to calculate temperature distribution in material. The procedure is developed to determine input parameters for modeling through analysis of experimental temperature vs time dependencies in a small disk-shaped specimen of Zr—Cr alloy. The specimen is heated by concentrated solar radiation, different heat flows and then cooled. The offered model allows the controlled cycling heating of specimens by radiation to be calculated.
