Abstract

The reamer is designed to enhance and calibrate a borehole during exploration drilling. Manufacturing technology of reamer in a high vacuum provides simultaneous impregnation of the eight sectors of material AVKM and soldering them to the reamer’s body. Diamond grain adhesion-mechanically fixed in a matrix of tungsten carbide with the highest possible physical and mechanical properties (HRC 90). The use of adhesion-active materials, vacuum technology and one-time heating ensures complete preservation of the characteristics of diamonds. The design of the reamer and the combination of high characteristics carbide, diamond and adhesive fixing is aimed at to ensure efficient operation of diamond drill bits, especially in difficult geological conditions.
