Abstract

The results of computer simulation and analysis of experimental data for densificationof copper as well as iron powder performs during impulse hot pressing are presented. It isestablished firstly that the shear viscosity of porous material matrix shows more stronger adependence upon initial impact velocity in comparison with the dependence one upon per-form heating temperature. An estimated activation energy for viscous flow of matrix is equalto 0.35 eVfor copper, 0.3 eV for α-Fe, and 0.5 eV for γ-Fe.
