Abstract

The paper describes a new technology of producing steel structural parts by forming mixtures of iron and iron oxide powders with a binder, vacuum reduction of oxides by nanosized pyrolysis products of the binder, and sintering. It is shown that this technology has advantages as compared to conventional pressing and sintering and to the MIM technology: it allows producing parts of complex shape and decreasing the cost of products.
