Abstract

The paper considers how the properties of laminated ceramic systems are formed, especially of systems with weak interlayer boundaries. The effect of residual stresses, depending on the mechanical properties of the main and interim layers (strength, thermal expansion coefficient, thickness, intensity of interaction at the boundaries) on the fracture of composites is shown. Laminated ceramic materials with low sensitivity to the defects and sufficiently high strength are obtained using a series of oxygen-free refractory compounds.
