Abstract

The paper examines the tribotechnical characteristics of composite antifriction Cu–Sn–CuWO4–MoS2 composite with and without lubrication at sliding speeds of 0.5, 1, and 1.5 m/sec. X-ray diffraction of the material and its friction surfaces is conducted and their micromechanical characteristics are determined. The mechanism whereby the optimal tribotechnical characteristics of the composite antifriction material are formed is explained. It is established that the friction and wear coefficients of the composite materials under variation of friction parameters are due to changes in the composition, structure, and micromechanical characteristics of friction surface.
