Abstract

The method of producing composite Ti—Al material with an intermetallic layer by smelting aluminum and titanium in an atmosphere of air is overviewed. The features of the different thicknesses layers formation, depending on the time-temperature parameters of technology and fluxes at the interface between metals are investigated.
