Abstract

Multicomponent coatings on ZhS26 oxidation-resistant nickel alloy samples produced by liquid-phase activated diffusion hardening and self-propagating high-temperature synthesis are studied to protect blades of turbine engines against high-temperature gas corrosion. Thermodynamic analysis of potential reactions in conditions of diffusion hardening and chromium plating in a multicomponent mixture is carried out. Results of X-ray diffraction and high-temperature corrosion resistance of the coatings at 1200 °С are presented. The coatings are corrosion-resistant and self-healing. Their oxidation resistance is much higher than that of the alloy without a coating.
