Abstract

The wettability of SiO2 by Si-containing alloys (Au—Si, Cu—Si, Ni—Si, Pd—Si , Ge—Si) were studied by sesile drop method in depend ing on Si concentration, temperature and time. Si being added to alloy results in contact angle dropping: from 120—150° for pure Au, Cu, Ni, Pd, Ge to 70—90° at S i concentration ~30—60% (at.). Adhesion activity of Si (nontrasition element) is less then for transition metals kind of Ti, Zr and others.
