Abstract

The interaction of chromium oxide with carbon obtained after utilization of automobile tires, phase composition and morphology of the resulting powder product was investigated. It has been established that increasing the temperature of synthesis does not significantly affect the formation of chromium carbide. It is shown that the smallest average size of the synthesized particles of chromium carbide is 0,66 microns.
