Abstract

Phase equilibria and structural transformations in the binary La2O3—Gd2O3 system at 1100 °C were studied by X-ray diffraction in the overall concentration range. It was established that in the system there exist fields of solid solutions based on hexagonal (A) modification of La2O3 and monoclinic (B) and cubic (C) modification of Gd2O3 . The lattice parameters of the unit cells and the boundaries of the homogeneity fields for solid solutions were determined
