Abstract

Theoretical strength and Young"s modulus of borides LaB6, MeB2, as well as LaB6—MeB22 composites at eutectic composition under uniaxial strain was calculated from first principles. The values obtained for Young"s modulus of borides close to their experimental values, considering that the calculations we considered only perfect single crystals
