Abstract

The compacting of bimodal porous powder parts having slant to a pressing direction surfaces it is studied by a method of computer modelling. The combined method of modelling (FEM and DEM) is applied. Distribution of final porosity and accumulated plastic deformation has been researched. The form of particles in different areas of a PM part is studied. Pressing of a mixture of particles of different materials is considered. Results of modelling can be used by optimisation of technological process of PM parts pressing.
