Abstract

The samples of superhard carbon ceramics were obtained by sintering in the conditions of high static pressures of powders synthesized in shock wave. The methods of transmission electron microscopy and x-ray diffractometry are used for study of the structure of carbon ceramics. The dependences of structure, phase composition and microhardness of ceramic on the temperature of sintering were investigated.
