Abstract

The process of compaction of biporous powder mixture in the rigid matrix was studied. Compaction various schemes were studied: unilateral, bilateral and asymmetrical com¬pression. The combined method of modelling (FEM and DEM) is applied. Distribution of final porosity and accumulated plastic deformation has been researched. The form of particles in different areas of a PM part is studied. Results of modelling can be used by optimisation of technological process of PM parts pressing.
