Abstract

Peculiarities of composite powders and compact ceramics of AlN-ZrB2-ZrSi2 system with various ZrB2-ZrSi2 solid solution content high-temperature (up to 1450oС) oxidation in air are studied with differential thermal analysis, thermogravimetry, X-ray phasic and X-ray microspectral analysis and scanning electron microscopy. High corrosion resistance of mentioned hot pressed (almost nonporous) ceramics is found under up to 1350-1400oС temperatures, when sinter components (individual oxides) interact with each other, with formation of solid solutions on base of alumina, 202 High-temperature oxidation of zirconium oxide and aluminium borate compositional ceramics sintering in the presence of В203 liquid phase with self-reinforced sinter formation.
