Abstract

Thermodynamic properties of phases and phase equilibria were described in the framework of the CALPHAD method. The set of self-consistent model parameters has been obtained taking into account data on thermodynamic properties of liquid alloys, intermetallic compounds, and phase equilibria information. The Gibbs energy of liquid phase has been modeled using the ideal associated solution model. Obtained models of thermodynamic properties were used for description of possible met astable transformations, such as glass formation during rapid quenching from the melt, formation of bulk amorphous alloys and formation of supersaturated terminal solid solutions.
