Abstract

The influence of polarization potential and current density on the flaking area of polymer type cover with artificial defect with diameter of 6 mm under cathodic polarization at electroconductive environment was investigated. A mathematical model describing the change of the polarization potential and current density in the cover defect was constructed, an algorithm and a program for calculating the polarization potential and current density longwise the diameter of defect was developed and their numerical values were obtained.
