Abstract

The crystallinity and aromaticity of carbon modifications are found to be the main criteria for mechanochemical synthesis in the titanium-carbon system. "Black + graphite" carbon composition is promising for the mechanochemical synthesis of titanium carbide. It is shown that titanium carbide synthesized by this technique has high sorption activity.
