Abstract

For a more complete description of the АІ2О3-НfO2-Еr2О3 phase diagram, three vertical sections are constructed in a wide temperature and composition range. The Еr2О3 corner bisector shows the Еr2О3-rich region of the ternary phase diagram and explains the mechanisms of Еr2О3 phase transformations: X ⇆ H ⇆ A ⇆ B. The isopleth at 10 mol.% НfO2 (10H) shows the АІ2О3-НfO2-Еr2О3 constitution near the АІ2О3-Еr2О3 binary bounding system. The НfO2 corner bisector Еr2О3 discovers the НfO2-rich region of the ternary phase diagram and explains the mechanisms of НfO2 phase transformations: F ⇆ T ⇆ M.
