Abstract

A technology of SHS compaction including preparation of a powdered composite billet that promotes uniform pore distribution over the synthesized product, barothermal SHS of the billet, and plastic forming processes is developed. For definition of boundary deformation of the synthesized billet, it is proposed to use a hereditary damage accumulation model, which considers two competing processes during pressing: accumulation of microdamage induced by plastic deforma-tion and partial healing of the accumulated microdamage through structural changes. Areas of theoretical studies to intensify the pressing process are identified.
