Abstract

The results of investigation of multicomponent coatings on steel 20 and rustless iron were observed in the work. The coatings are formed with the method of vacuum activated diffusion satu-ration. As the saturating environment was used mixture, consisting of powders B4C, Al, Ni, Si, Cr, C. Thermodynamical calculations were done for reaction that accompany process of titanium coating. Results were discussed for metallographic, microhardness investigations and X-ray oper-ations of steels with protective coatings were analyzed. Experiments were made to investigate cavitation-erosion resistance of coatings on steels 20 and Х18Н10Т. It has been found that the mentioned coatings, in particular, multicomponent coatings, improve the resistance of the initial steel 20.
