Abstract

The analysis of existent structural basalt materials is conducted from the point of view of intercommunication of their structure with strength and resistance to fracture. It is shown that their strength is determined measuring initial crack-like defects, and a fracture resistance — by an amount and extent of weak boundaries which are perpendicular to direction of main crack growth. The method of hot-pressed is get the standards of basaltic onecomponent material with a unidirectional fibred-channel structure. Influence of temperature and duration of self-control of standard is shown under constraint on the structure of material and his behavior at failure.
