Abstract

Generalized characteristics of porous materials are shown: permeability factor, structure matricity, and pore tortuosity coefficient. The permeability factor for different materials (powder, fiber, foamed) is independent of porosity but is determined by the pore structure. The matricity and tortuosity coefficient substantially decrease with increasing porosity.
