Abstract

The catalytic activity and surface properties of Cu–Co–Fe oxide catalysts resulting from CO oxidation that are formed on silica gel, powdery β-SiC, and β-SiC nanofibers are studied. The procedure, including initial acidic treatment of silicon carbide nanofibers with a mixture of hydrofluoric and nitric acids, has been developed for obtaining the high-defective surface layer for the formation of active Cu2(OH)3NO3 mass.
