Abstract

Bioactive composite materials biogenic hydroxyapatite /glass (50% (wt.) of glass) doped with La3+ in the amount of 5—15% (wt) have been prepared. It was established that introduction of La3+ additive positive influenced on the process of structure formation during sintering of composites, increasing the viscosity of the glass and reducing foaming that is typical for one-stage method of composite preparation. But introduction of La3+ leads the formation of secondary phases during sintering due to the interaction of crystalline and amorphous components. Doped component increases the porosity of composite materials biogenic hydroxyapatite/glass up to 68%, but material with predominantly open porosity can be obtained only at 600 ° С Compressive strength of composites doped La3+ is 27—59 MPa and is close to the strength ofcancellous bone. Biosolubility of composite materials depends on modeling fluid, amount of doped additive and sintering temperature.
