Abstract

The effect of electric current on wetting in various conditions of tin dioxide ceramics (in air) with silver melts and ZrO2-ceramics (in vacuum) with copper and nickel melts and with their alloys were investigated. It has been shown that electrical current improves the wetting of oxide ceramics. The dependence of the spreading kinetics in the ceramics—metal melt systems on the current strength and holding time were studied.
