Abstract

A mathematical model of the electric field of the pipeline segment with isolation detachment from its surface is developed. A calculation of the potential and current density is performed. It is shown that in the area of detachment incomplete protection of the structure surface approaches the full with increasing protective potential. In this case, the insulation loses its protective properties.
