Abstract

The adsorption activity of powders of biogenic hydroxyapatite with different particle sizes (<160, 160—250, 250—500 and 500—630 μm) toward methylene blue was investigated. It was shown that the best adsorption was observed for a powder with a particle size <160 μm (124 mg/g), while for all other powders the adsorption activity is 108—109 mg/g. The adsorption activity of biogenic hydroxyapatite was also confirmed by IR spectroscopy.
