Abstract

Article is devoted to the analysis of anisotropy development during powder pressing where anisotropy is produced by pore shapes and distribution. Analysis is based on the approach of Direct Multiscale Modeling put forward earlier. It is found that anisotropy contribution into powder behavior is important for loading paths close to upsetting. In the case of die compaction assumption about isotropy of powder consolidation is a good approximation. Modeling of accumulated anisotropy volume distribution during pressing of synchronizator hub is considered as an example of application of new approach.
