Abstract

The results of study of the cohesive strength and evaluation of the adhesive strength for the coating of the quasicrystalline alloy of Al—Cu—Fe are given. Coating was obtained by the air-fuel method for spraying powders on the casting eutectic α-Al + Mg2Si alloy of the ternary system Al—Mg—Si. It is shown that the quasicrystalline coating is sufficiently strength and maintains stress in the elastic deformation region of substrate. The cohesive strength of the coating is about 560 MPa.
