Abstract

Non-linear creep behavior of agglomerated powder during pressing depends on temperature. Article is devoted to the comparison of densification rates of inter-agglomerate porosity for different creep exponents. Numerical modeling is based on the finite-element approach for creep simulation developed in the Institute for problems of materials sciences As a result of modeling it was found that if densification rate of powder as a whole is fixed the highest densification rate for inter-agglome-rate porosity is provided by cold isostatic pressing of powder.
